To kill the viruses just open your shield by clicking on the left mouse button and hold down the left mouse button to expand it when your have reached the desired size of shield just release the left mouse button and than all the viruses which are in contact of shield will get destroyed. If you are continuously coming in contact of viruses your game will be over soon.
